Unit Converter

A fast, private unit converter that handles every common category: length, weight and mass, temperature, volume, area, speed, and digital data. Pick a category, choose your units, and type into either box — conversion happens live in both directions as you type, so you can work from whichever value you know. Temperature is handled with proper scale-and-offset math, so Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin always line up at the freezing and boiling points. Swap units with one click and copy any result instantly. Everything runs entirely in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded.

1 Meters (m) = 3.28083989501 Feet (ft)

How to use

Choose a category (length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, or data), then pick the units you want to convert between. Type a number into the From box to see the converted value appear instantly in the To box, or type into the To box to convert the other way — both directions update live as you type. Use the Swap button to flip the two units, and click Copy to put the converted value on your clipboard.

Frequently asked questions

How does two-way conversion work?
Both input boxes are live. Type into either one and the other updates instantly, converting in whichever direction you're working. This lets you start from the value you already know — whether that's the source or the target unit.
How is temperature converted?
Temperature isn't a simple multiplication because the scales have different zero points. The converter uses exact affine formulas — for example °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 and K = °C + 273.15 — so the freezing point (0 °C = 32 °F = 273.15 K) and boiling point (100 °C = 212 °F) always match, and the scales meet correctly at −40°.
Are kilobytes decimal or binary?
Both are offered separately. Decimal units (kB, MB, GB, TB) use powers of 1000, while binary units (KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB) use powers of 1024, following the IEC standard. Pick whichever convention your context needs.
